A face lift without risky surgery, a lift without a scalpel – that makes the thread lift possible!

Here, the thread lift is a supplement to wrinkle treatments with botulinum toxin (facial features become relaxed) or hyaluronic acid (smoothing of wrinkles and volume production) is. Sunken and slack structures z. B. in the area of the cheek area, forehead and eyebrow, the neck and Dekolltébereich, chest, abdomen and butt are raised by a thread lift and tightened. During the thread lifting treatment, medical threads are pulled under the skin. There they stimulate the regeneration of the collagen, making the skin firmer, smoother and fresher. This natural stimulation of the body’s own processes is a great advantage of lifting without a scalpel.

Currently, two different types of thread have prevailed. There are threads made of PDO (polydioxanone) or polylactic acid (Silhouette Soft® threads).

Thread lift with PDO (Polydioxanone)

PDO is a material that has been used for years in vascular and cardiac surgery. The threads are pulled in with a thin needle to which the threads are attached. These threads cause a “biostimulation” in the skin. Around the thread, cells are stimulated to form tissue and new collagen is formed. The skin volume increases and there is a tightening and lifting effect. The result is visible after 4 – 8 weeks.

The PDO threads are available in different designs and lengths: single threads, spiral threads, double spiral threads, barbed threads. Your skin condition, the body region and the treatment goal ultimately determine the choice of the thread. Which threads are best suited for you, we will collectively in a detailed consultation. The thread dissolves again after 4 to 6 months. Due to the new formation of collagen fibers, the result remains visible for longer (about 1 to 2 years). The treatment can be repeated any number of times.

Thread lifting with PDO threads can be combined with hyaluronic acid injections. A very effective combination is concomitant treatment with autologous PRP or autologous and autologous PRP. PDO sutures are particularly suitable for the prevention of loss of elasticity, at the beginning of sinking facial contours, for desired large-scale application in the facial area, when desired combination with other procedures (autologous PRP, autologous fat) in the following regions: neck, décolleté, arms, chest , Stomach, thigh inside, bottom and knees.

Thread lift with polylactic acid threads (Silhouette Soft® threads)

Silhouette Soft® is a new technology that has a dual effect: both a lifting and a regenerating effect. Made in the USA, Silhouette Soft® was developed on the basis of many years of experience in the use of Cones in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. The product consists of polylactic acid and glycolic acid. These components are completely broken down in the body within 10-12 months.

How does it work?
The two effects of Silhouette Soft®:

A lifting effect for immediate but discreet results:
Immediately upon treatment, the surgeon can define the affected area by using the bi-directional and absorbable cones on the sutures to contract and lift the tissue.

A volumizing effect for gradual natural results:
Through the absorption of the thread material, the polylactic acid, the natural collagen production is stimulated, thus further improving the treatment area. SILHOUETTE SOFT® is the only product in the aesthetics market that combines these two modes of action.

Which areas can be treated?
Facial contour – jaw line, cheeks and cheekbone area – eyebrows – neck

How is the treatment?
The treatment can be performed on average 30 minutes (depending on the treatment area and the amount of product used) under local anesthetic in the doctor’s office. The procedure should always be used by a qualified physician trained in Silhouette Soft® sutures. Depending on the treatment area, two or more threads are needed. SILHOUETTE SOFT® can be used alone or in combination with fillers and muscle relaxant medication, but should not be used with other products during a session in the same area.

Advantages of a thread lift

  • Minimally invasive procedure – no surgery under general anesthesia is necessary, but an outpatient procedure under local anesthesia
  • short treatment time
  • no to short downtime
  • Shortly after the treatment, a result can be seen (skin is immediately tightened)
  • Stimulation of collagen synthesis
  • Long durability between 12-24 months, longer with Silhouette Soft ®-Lifting
  • Complete degradation of the materials
  • Can be combined with other cosmetic-aesthetic procedures

Disadvantages of a thread lift

  • Minor bruising and swelling as well as infections and slight side differences
  • With too advanced skin aging or sagging of the skin and too high skin thickness Fadenlfiting can not provide a satisfactory result
  • In the case of Silhouette Soft® lifting, temporary “rippling” of the repositioned tissue, which i.d.R. disappears after a week
